Dr. Marie-Josée Klett

BSc, MD, CCFP (SEM), FCFP, Dip. Sport Med.

Dr. Marie-Josée Klett completed medical school at the University of Ottawa and her residency in Family Medicine at Dalhousie University. She then completed her fellowship in Sports Medicine back at the University of Ottawa and holds her diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine with the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine.

Dr. Klett is currently team physician for the Ottawa Black Bears NLL team, the University of Ottawa Gee Gees women’s hockey and women’s rugby teams and Taekwondo Canada. She also works with Canada’s Mens’ Volleyball team. She has done medical coverage for numerous sporting events including Canada Games (2009, 2011), Pan Am Games (2011, 2023), the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London, UK and the FISU Winter Games 2015 in Granada, Spain.

Dr. Klett is an Assistant Professor in the Department  of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa and enjoys teaching medical students and residents.  She is passionate about keeping her patients active and enjoys working out, downhill skiing and softball.
